TAM board, but you may want to move some of the FP cables that cross over the TAM board out of the
way.)

CAUTION: Before replacing any of the boards on the CG1200 server, you must first take the server out of
service, turn off all peripheral devices connected to the server, turn off the server by pressing the power
button, and unplug the power cord(s) from the system and wall outlet.

5.5.1 Removing the Old Telco Alarms Module

To remove the TAM board:

1. Power down the server and remove any external devices and the power cord(s)

2. Remove the chassis cover. For instructions, see Section 3.2.1, “Removing the Chassis Cover”.

3. Remove the front bezel if you will be using the ESD ground with your wrist strap. For instructions, see

Section 3.2.3, “Removing the Front Bezel”.

4. Disconnect the TAM alarms cable that is routed to the rear of the chassis (Figure 55. “A”)

5. Disconnect the TAM signal cable that connects to the front panel board (“B”).

6. Remove the TAM board from the chassis by unfastening the retaining screw that secures the board to

the chassis floor (Figure 56, “A”).

7. Slide the board away from the two alignment pins (“B”) and lift it out of the chassis (“C”).
