For the locations of these cable connectors on the server board and information about how the cables
are routed, see Figure 24: Cable Routing” and Figure 7: Baseboard Components and Connectors”.

5. Disconnect the TAM alarms cable from the video connector on the rear panel of the chassis to get it

out of the way. For instructions. See 5.5.1, “ Removing the Old Telco Alarms Module”.

6. Remove the hardware RAID module (ROC) and SuperCap backup module, if installed. For

assistance, see Section 4.3.1 ” Installing the ROC Module”.

7. Remove the RMM4 module or RMM4Lite, if installed. For assistance, see Section 4.7, “Installing a

Remote Management Module 4”.

8. Remove the I/O module, if installed. For assistance, see Section 4.8 “Installing an I/O Module”.

If you want to reuse components from this server board on the new replacement board, you can remove
them now or after you have removed the server board from the chassis.

To remove memory DIMMs, see Section 3.3.4, “Replacing or Removing Memory DIMMs”.

To remove the heat sink(s) and processor(s), see “Removing a Processor” in Section 3.3.5.

9. Loosen all seven screws holding the server board to the chassis and save them for use with the new

server board. See Figure 63, “A” for the location of these screws.

10. Tilt the server board up at the front edge and lift it from the chassis being careful to clear the rear

panel of the chassis. (Figure 63, “B” and “C”)
