5.6.2 Installing the New SAS Backplane Board
1. Fasten the sheet metal bracket to the new backplane board using the three screws saved from the
old board.
2. Connect the three cables back into the new backplane board.
3. Secure the backplane board to the HDD drive bay assembly by aligning it with the retention tabs and
placing the bracket over the HDD bay assembly.
Re-fasten the two screws that hold the bracket in place on the top of the HDD drive bay. (See Figure
57 for the location.)
4. Lock in all the hard drives so they engage with the new backplane.
