Known Problems

The following problems are currently known to exist:

Encoder:

Scaling from 1080i input to Half-D1 or CIF resolutions on the encoder in MPEG2
encoding is not supported.

Glitches in the SDI input (seen when SDI Error light blinks) can cause problems during
decoding unless ResyncSDI is enabled. With ResyncSDI enabled, a glitch in the SDI
input will cause a brief disruption in the stream.

Decoder:

Genlock may initially cause the output frequency to drift away from the actual
frequency until the Genlock mechanism acquires a lock on the signal, possibly causing
some video artifacts during startup. A work-around is to set the Genlock setting to
Strict or Off.

Transcoding:

1. Is no longer supported, but is available upon request.
2. For QVENC: ASI to IP & IP to ASI only with the optional ASI daughter card.
3. For QVDEC: ASI input is not supported for decoding, must use QVPRO.
4. Support for IP to IP on the QVENC upon request.
