Configuration guidelines

Before you hot plug an AC power supply, perform the following steps to avoid allocating one ID to

multiple AC power supplies:

{

Wait for at least three seconds after you plug an AC power supply into the AC power supply
slot, and then you can plug in another AC power supply.

{

Wait for at least 15 seconds after you plug an AC power supply out of the AC power supply slot,

and then you can plug out another AC power supply.

After the power-supply led-blink command is executed, the LED of the corresponding power supply
flashes for a period of time to show you the location of the power supply. You can configure the time

when the LED flashes and how long the LED keeps flashing. If you execute the command without

specifying a power supply ID, the LEDs of all power supplies flash one by one in the ascending

order of the power supply IDs.

When you allocate IDs to the AC power supplies, and then after a period of time, reboot the switch,

the following applies:

{

If the locations of the AC power supplies do not change or some AC power supplies are
plugged out during this period of time, the IDs of the AC power supplies do not change after

the switch reboots.

{

If the locations of the AC power supplies are changed or some new AC power supplies are
plugged in during this period of time, the AC power supplies are allocated new IDs randomly

after the switch reboots.
