10.1 Changing System Names or Device Names

1. Select the Cluster Controller in the system tree and select the menu Settings in the device

menu.

2. Select the parameter group Type label > Type label.
3. Select [Edit].
4. To change the system name, enter the desired name in the field System name.
5. To change the device name, enter the desired name in the field Device name.
6. Select [Save].

10.2 Use of SMA Energy Meters in the System

Currently, the Cluster Controller supports a maximum of one Energy Meter The Energy Meter must
be used as the measuring device for the active power feed-in at the grid-connection point. The
Cluster Controller automatically detects the Energy Meter. If there is more than one Energy Meter in
your system, make sure that the automatically detected Energy Meter is the Energy Meter installed
as the measuring device at the grid-connection point. You will require the serial number of the
Energy Meter. Note: The serial number can be found on the type label of the Energy Meter.

Procedure:

1. Select the Cluster Controller in the system tree and select the menu Settings in the device

menu.

2. Select the parameter group system communication > Measured values > Meter on

Speedwire.

3. Select [Edit].
4. Check whether the serial number of the Energy Meter installed at the grid-connection point is

displayed in the field Serial Number. If the correct serial number is not displayed, delete the
serial number shown and enter the serial number of the required Energy Meter instead.

5. Select [Save].

☑ The desired Energy Meter is now used as the Speedwire meter. The meter reading of the

previously used Energy Meter is adopted.

10.3 Reading Off the Type, Serial Number and Firmware

Version of the Devices

1. Select the device in the system tree and select the menu Settings in the device menu. Tip: The

serial number and the firmware version of the Cluster Controller are also displayed at the
bottom left in the status bar.

2. To read off the serial number of the device, select the parameter group Type label > Type

label.
