NUMBER OF PAGES CHECK
The number of pages scanned is compared to the value provided by the user.
SCHEDULED TRANSMISSION
Enables you to specify a time when the document should be sent.
FAX ON DEMAND
A document is loaded into your fax machine and made available to one or more subscribers who can receive a fax of this
document by calling your fax machine using the POLLING function. The document is then sent out to the requesting fax.
You can either load the document in the scanner feeder or in memory. The latter option is preferable, for it leaves your
machine free and means the document can be accessed by several consecutive callers.
POLLING
This is where you request a fax of a document from a remote fax machine. Simply call that machine and it will send the
document to your fax machine automatically.
QUEUE
This is a list of all the documents awaiting transmission (scheduled transmission, fax on demand, polling calls).
1. SCHEDULED TRANSMISSION
Use this facility to send a document at a specified time.
Place the document in the fax machine’s feeder.
Press MENU followed by 3, 1 and OK.
Enter the subscriber’s number and press OK to confirm.
Enter the time when you want the document to be sent out.
The time shown is the current time.
Press OK. The document will be sent out at the specified time.
Having entered all the other parameters of the transmission, press FAX/COPY to launch the scheduled transmis-
sion.
2. LOADING A DOCUMENT FOR FAX ON DEMAND
To prepare a document in your fax machine to be sent to remote fax machines via polling, proceed as followes:
Place the document in the fax machine’s feeder.
Press MENU followed by 3, 3 and OK.
To configure the type of fax on demand arrangement:
Realise your choose using the and keys of the navigator pad and then press OK to confirm.
- SIMPLE : the document may only be polled once.
- MULTIPLE : the document may be polled any number of times.
If you choose MEMORY, the document will be scanned and loaded into your fax machine’s memory.
If you select FEEDER, the document will be kept in the feeder.
In the latter case, the TYPE of the polling operation is SIMPLE by definition, since the document can only be
polled once.
Press OK to load the document ready for fax on demand.
3. POLLING
To poll a fax on demand document stored on a remote fax machine:
Press MENU followed by 3, 2 and OK.
To set the number from which the document should be polled:
