4. MANAGING YOUR FAX MACHINE’S MAILBOX SYSTEM

Your fax machine’s mailboxes enable secure transmission of documents.

Your fax machine supports up to 9 MAILBOXES (numbered 00 to 08). Each MAILBOX is protected by a secret access
code.

Each MAILBOX in use can be identified by a handy mnemonic.

MAILBOX 00 is a public mailbox which holds any faxes stored by the fax machine when in fax answer mode. Its mailbox
access code is that of the FAX ANSWER MODE.

Mailboxes 01 to 08 are private mailboxes.

There is no need to enter an access code to load documents into a mailbox.

Any document loaded into a mailbox is added to documents already in it.

To retrieve a document from a mailbox you require that mailbox’s access code (this also applies to the public mailbox,
00).

You may load data into and retrieve data from the mailboxes on your fax machine or a compatible remote fax machine.

Conversely, a compatible remote fax machine can load data into and retrieve data from the mailboxes on your fax machine.

To access the mailbox management menu, press MENU followed by 7 and OK.

For each menu function (except F75 PRINT LIST), you must select the requisite mailbox from the list of mailboxes.

The first element of the mailbox list is displayed. You can navigate through the list using the and keys, or by directly

entering the number of the mailbox you wish to manipulate: the (free) indication means that there is a non-initialise
Mailbox.

An asterisk “*” at the end of a line indicates that the mailbox concerned contains FAX messages.
