Transferring Patches To and From the D-50/550

Using the D-550

1.

Use a MIDI cable to connect the VariOS’s

MIDI OUT

connector to the D-550’s

MIDI IN

connector.

2.

Set the D-550 and V-Synth XT to the same MIDI channel (the basic channel; p. 73).

3.

Turn the

Memory Protect

of the D-550 to

OFF

.

3-1.

Press the D-550’s

[TUNE]

button.

3-2.

Select “

Protect

” with the

[

]

or

[

]

buttons, and turn it

OFF

with the

[VALUE]

.

4.

Enable reception of bulk load data on the D-550.

Press the D-550’s

[DATA TRANS]

button.

Select “

(B.Load)

” with the D-550’s

buttons, then press the

[ENTER]

button

while holding the

[DATA TRANS]

button.

Source Bank

to the D-50.
