Chapter 10: UAD ExpressCard Products

Power down the ExpressCard, using the following method as defined by
the operating system:
• (Windows) In the Windows Task Bar, click the Safely Remove Hardware
icon, and select “Safely remove Universal Audio UAD-1 DSP card”
(

Figure 26 on page 126

).

• (Mac) In the Menu Bar, click the ExpressCard status menu icon, and select
“Power off Card” (

Figure 27 on page 126

)

Turn off the power switch on the back of the UAD-Xpander.

4.

Remove the UAD ExpressCard from the expansion slot.

UAD-Xpander disconnection is complete.

Reconnect

Once the UAD-Xpander has been disconnected for any reason, the computer
must be rebooted with the UAD-Xpander connected. Follow the

“Startup Se-

quence” on page 124

for reconnection instructions.

System Sleep

Windows

System Sleep (hibernate) is not supported when using UAD-Xpander under
Windows. Sleep should be disabled while the UAD-Xpander is connected.
