Step 8: Cycle Record

Step 9: Database management

To avoid overloading your hard drive
with recorded images, CyberEyes
provides you with a Cycle Record
function.

Please go to Channel Settings and
select the Storage tab by clicking on it.

Make sure there is a check mark
beside the Enable cycle-record
choice. You can enter a numeric value
in The Cycle-storaging free disk
space should be no less than xx
MB
. The numeric value xx refers to the
disk space leftover in the hard drive
before CyberEyes writes over
(overwrites) older data to
accommodate for newer ones.

For example, if you input the value as
500, then CyberEyes will overwrite
previously recorded data when the
available disk space reaches 500 MB.
Older data will be written over first to
accommodate newer data.

Click OK to finish configuring the
Cycle Record function.

CyberEyes allows you to flexibly
manage recorded data. Recorded
data will, by default, be saved to the
C:\Program Files\CyberEyes DQP-A4\
file folder. If you wish to save the
recorded data to another file folder or
even to another hard drive, you can
click on the Add button and choose the
appropriate hard drive or location.

Before doing all that, you must first go
to Channel Settings and choose the
Storage tab by clicking on it.

Click OK to finish configuring the
database management.
