CHAPTER 6: FAQ

1: Why can’t I send out the Call-out alarm?

Please ensure the modem is correctly installed with voice function.

2: Why isn’t there any sound when receiving the call-out alarm?

Please check to see if:

The sound file exists.

Ÿ

The Modem is provided with voice function.

If the above are true, please do the following:

Point to Device Manager, point to Sound, Video and Game Controllers.

Ÿ

Check if the Modem sound card driver is installed.

If the operating system you are using is Windows 2000 or Windows ME, please refer to question 9.

3: Will the recorded videos be lost when the system is shut down accidentally?

No, the recorded videos will not be lost, for they are real-time saved.

4: Why can't I perform some functions on CyberEyes if I log in as "User" or "Guest"?

Because three users own different rights: Administrator can perform all the functions, User can perform all the

functions except System Setting, while Guest can only browse images.

5: Can "Administrator" change rights for "User" and "Guest"?

No, the Administrator cannot, for the rights are unchangeable.

6: Can I find the previous alarm recordings?

Yes, you can find the previous recordings from the Event Viewer.

7: Why can’t I play the recorded AVI video with "Windows Media Player" that comes with Window?

Because this version of Windows Media Player does not have AVI format filter. Please install DirectX 8.0 or a
