Deleting a Port Trunk

Caution

Disconnect the cables from the port trunk on the switch before
performing this procedure. Deleting the trunk without first
disconnecting the cables can result in the formation of a loop in your
network topology. This can cause a broadcast storm and poor
network performance.

To delete a port trunk from the switch, perform the following procedure:

1. From the home page, select Configuration.

2. From the Configuration menu, select the Layer 1 option.

3. Select the Port Trunking tab.

The Port Trunking tab is shown in Figure 22 on page 85.

4. Click the button next to the port trunk to be deleted and click Remove.

You can delete only one trunk at a time.

The port trunk is deleted from the switch.

5. To permanently save your changes, select the Save Config option in

the Configuration menu.
