Defrosting food is incredibly easy in your combination microwave
oven. Note that the power level, defrosting time and standing
time depend on the composition and quantity of food.

Microwaves penetrate the food, so large pieces may start to cook
on the outside before the inside is completely defrosted.

For defrosting, you can also take the following guideline:

DOUBLE THE QUANTITY - NEARLY DOUBLE THE TIME
HALVE THE QUANTITY- HALF THE TIME

The charts give the standing times. The standing time is the time
the food is left to stand to ensure that the temperature is evenly
distributed (defrosted outside and frozen inside). During the
standing time, either keep the food in the combination microwave
oven after cooking, or remove it from the oven.

If it proves difficult to remove packaging from an item of food,
start to defrost it in your combined microwave oven set to the
position (1000 watts).

Well-planned freezing methods make defrosting easy.

Make sure you freeze portions of an appropriate size. Since the
portions are to be reheated, make sure you "size" them
accordingly.

Meat, fish and poultry should drain freely when defrosting.
Arrange them on an upturned saucer placed on a plate. The
turntable must be left in the oven during defrosting.

Defrost meat, fish, game, poultry, bread and pastries using
automatic defrost.

The defrosting times shown in the charts below are for guidance
only. Times may vary depending on the quantity, quality, shape
and temperature at the time of defrosting.
