9.3

Flash Update Procedure

Before beginning this procedure, ensure that there are no other processes running on the PC and that the cable
from the programmer is plugged into the PC cable.

1. Insert core board in the

iQUBE

grey box test fixture or production box.

2. Remove the two jumpers on J3.

3. Connect the blue connector to J3 with red wire to the edge of the board.

4. Turn on the power.

5. Double click

AVRSTUDIO4

(LadyBug). This is available on the CD included in the parts kit or at http://

www.atmel.com.

6. Select

Cancel

when

iQUBE

project is displayed.

7. Click

Next

.

8. Select the device

Atmegal 128

9. Click

Finish

.

10. Click the

AVR

button, it looks like an EEPROM.

11. A warning to upgrade may appear.

12. Click

Cancel

.

13. Go to lock Bits and ensure that all are on Mode 1.

14. Click

Program

to send Locks to core module.

15. Go to the Fuse tab and ensure that only the following fuses are set.

WatchDog Timer On

Preserve EEProm

Boot Glash = 512

CKOPT Fuse

BrownOut = 2.7v

BrownOut Detection Enabled

Ext Crystal last box in list

16. Click Program to send fuses to core module.

17. Locate Flash Box.

18. Click Program.

19. Verify that there are no errors.

20. Turn power off.

21. Disconnect the blue connector.
