13.6. Communication related terms

13.6.1. online state

A state that the PC and target M-864D are communicating with each other.

"When in online mode" is a state that the M-864D is in online state.

13.6.2. offline state

A state that the PC and target M-864D are not communicating with each other.

"When in offline mode" is a state that the M-864D is in offline state.

13.6.3. Preset link function

A function that can switch the preset memory numbers of all M-864D and DP-SP3 units in synchronization.

Preset memory numbers set to the units switch to the same preset memory number at the same time even if

the preset switching operation is made at any unit.

13.6.4. external control protocol

Refers to the External control function by way of TCP/IP.

The M-864D operates as a server. It receives the command from the client and changes internal parameters.

13.6.5. external command send function

Refers to the External command send function by way of TCP/IP.

The M-864D operates as a client. It sends the command to the external server.

It is a command send function to control an external device from the M-864D.

Activate this function by means of a contact input or the ZM Remote controller’s button.

13.7. Contact Control, ZM remote Controller Control, and external Control functions

13.7.1. Preset load

Refers to the Preset recall function.

13.7.2. Stereo input source select

[when in Mix all mode]

Operates as ON/OFF function of the individual sources.

[when in Select mode]

Operates as source switching select function.

13.7.3. remote contact output

A function that can remotely control the M-864D's contact output from the ZM Remote controller and external

control.

13.7.4. fader tally

A function that provides contact output when the gain value of the FRONT fader exceeds the threshold level.

13.7.5. Channel select function (provided only with the ZM-9014)

A function that selects the EXT VOL. channel to be assigned to the ZM-9014’s volume control.

Assign this function to the button on the same ZM-9014.
