Taking announcements into

consideration when calculat-

ing routes

Your Traffic Assist can take traffic an-
nouncements into consideration when
calculating a route. You have the option of
setting this function to automatic or man-
ual under "The button Load map" on
page 65.

Automatic recalculation
If a traffic announcement affects your
route, a new route is calculated to bypass
the problem at the earliest possible con-
venience.

Manual recalculation
If a traffic announcement affects your
route, a window with detailed informa-
tion on the traffic announcement appears.

If you wish to calculate a detour around
the traffic problem, press

Evade

or alter-

natively

Ignore

.

Changing status
You can set the function to act upon or ig-
nore an announcement at any time.
> Activate the toolbar in the map display

(see also page 74).

> Press the

button.

The message list appears. Messages which
are relevant for your route are listed at the
beginning.
> Press the relevant traffic announce-

ment.

> Press the button at the bottom of the

screen to switch between is being evad-
ed and is being ignored.
