MIDI
La J-Station dispone de una completa implementación MIDI para controlar los
parámetros y los presets en tiempo real. Cada uno de los aspectos de la J-
Station puede ser controlado tanto vía MIDI como a través de la programación
de sus presets utilizando el software editor de biblioteca.
ATENCION: Antes de hacer las conexiones MIDI a la J-Station, asegúrese
de que el interruptor de entrada MIDI/J8 del panel trasero esté
colocado en entrada MIDI. Si este interruptor estuviesse
ajustado a la posición J8 podría causarle daños en cualquier
equipo MIDI que estuviese conectado.
Bucle de retorno MIDI
La función de bucle de retorno MIDI elige si la clavija de salida/Thru MIDI será
mezclada con los datos MIDI entrantes sin enviar datos MIDI o si enviará solo
los datos MIDI generados dentro de la J-Station. Si el bucle de retorno está en
On, todos los datos MIDI entrantes serán mezclados con los datos MIDI
salientes. Si el bucle de retorno está desactivado, solamente serán enviados los
datos MIDI generados internamente. El procedimiento de selección de bucle de
retorno es el siguiente:
1. Pulse el botón Shift. Se encenderá este botón.
2. Pulse el botón Tuner/Utility.También se iluminará ese botón.
3. Pulse el botón Tap-It hasta que en pantalla aparezcan los caracteres
Lb
(abreviatura de bucle de retorno) En pantalla parpadearán alternativamente
los caracteres
Lb y (activado) u Of (desactivado).
4. Gire el mando Data para elegir si desea activar o desactivar esta función.
5. Pulse otra vez el botón Tuner/Utility para salir de este modo.
Canal MIDI
El canal MIDI de la J-Station sirve para enviar y recibir datos MIDI. El
procedimiento para acceder o modificar el canal MIDI es el siguiente:
1. Pulse una vez el botón Shift.
2. Pulse el botón Tuner/Utility.
3. Pulse el botón Tap-It hasta que en pantalla aparezcan los caracteres
Ch. En
pantalla parpadearán alternativamente los caracteres Ch y el canal MIDI
elegido entonces.
4. Gire el mando Data para seleccionar el canal MIDI que quiera. Puede elegir
entre los canales del 1 al 16 y aL (todos).
5. Pulse otra vez el botón Tuner/Utility para salir de este modo.
Volcado de sistema exclusivo
El menú de volcado de sistema exclusivo le permite cargar todos los presets de
la J-Station y todos los datos de las utilidades en una biblioteca de sistema
exclusivo, o en una unidad de grabación MIDI. Esto le resultará muy útil a la hora
de hacer una copia de todos sus ajustes personalizados. El procedimiento para
hacer un volcado es el siguiente:
1. Pulse una vez el botón Shift.
2. Pulse el botón Tuner/Utility.
3. Pulse el botón Tuner/Utility.
4. Pulse el botón Tap-It hasta que en pantalla aparezcan los caracteres

(abreviatura de volcado) . En pantalla parpadearán alternativamente los
caracteres
du y el preset elegido entonces.
5. Gire el mando Data y elija el preset que quiera volcar si es que quiere volcar
un único preset, o elija AL si quiere volcar todos los presets.
6. Coloque la unidad de grabación preparada para grabar.
7. Pulse el botón Store y empezará a parpadear el piloto de grabación.
8. Pulse de nuevo el botón Store para iniciar el volcado. En pantalla parpadearán
los caracteres -- para indicarle que se está realizando el volcado.
Cuando haya terminado el volcado, la pantalla volverá a mostrarle de nuevo los
caracteres
du.
9. Pulse el botón Tuner/Utility para volver a los presets.
MIDI
The J-Station utilizes full MIDI implementation to control Parameters and
Presets in real time. Every aspect of the J-Station can be controlled using MIDI,
as well as programming your presets using the Editor Librarian software.
ATTENTION: Before making any MIDI connections to the J-Station, make
sure that the J8/MIDI In switch on the rear panel is set to
MIDI In. Leaving this switch in the J8 position could damage
any connected MIDI equipment.
MIDI Loop Back
The MIDI Loop Back function selects whether the MIDI Out/Thru jack will
merge incoming MIDI data without going MIDI data or send only MIDI data
generated from with in the J-Station. If the Loop Back is set to on, all incoming
MIDI data will be merged with outgoing MIDI data. If the Loop back is set to off,
only internally generated MIDI data will be sent.The procedure for selecting the
MIDI Loop Back is as follows:
1. Press the Shift button.The button will light
2. Press the Tuner/Utility button.This button will also light.
3. Press the Tap-It button until
Lb (abbreviation for Loop Back) shows in the
display.The Display will then flash between Lb and either On (on) or Of (off).
4. Rotate the Data knob to select either on or off.
5. Press the Tuner/Utility button again to exit.
MIDI Channel
The J-Station’s MIDI channel is used for sending and receiving MIDI data. The
procedure for accessing or changing the MIDI channel is as follows:
1. Press the Shift button once.
2. Press the Tuner/Utility button once.
3. Press the Tap-It button until
Ch is shown in the Display.The Display will flash
between showing Ch and the currently selected MIDI channel.
4. Rotate the Data knob to select the desired MIDI channel. Choices include 1
through 16, and aL (all).
5. Press the Tuner/Utility button again to exit.
Sysex Dump
The Sysex Bulk Dump menu allows up loading of all the J-Station’s Presets and
Utility data to a sysex librarian, or MIDI recording device. This is useful for
making a backup copy of all your customized settings. The procedure for
performing a Bulk Dump is as follows:
1. Connect a MIDI cable from the J-Station’s MIDI Out to the the MIDI In of a
MIDI recording device.
2. Press the Shift button once.
3. Press the Tuner/Utility button.
4. Press the Tap-It button until
du (abbreviation for dump) is shown in the
Display.The display will flash between du and the currently selected Preset.
5. Rotate the Data knob to select either the single Preset you wish to dump,
or AL to dump all Presets.
6. Set the MIDI recording device to record.
7. Press the Store button and the Store LED begins to flash.
8. Press the Store button again to initiate the dump. The Display will flash

indicating the dump is in process.
When the dump is complete, the Display will return to showing du.
9. Press the Tuner/Utility button to return to Presets.
