Opciones de la pedalera de control
La J-Station puede ser controlada de forma remota por el pedal de disparo
opcional J3, por la pedalera de control J8 o por cualquier controlador MIDI. El
J3 es un pedal de disparo de tres botones: banco arriba, banco abajo y selección
de presets. La J8 es una pedalera de control total con 6 interruptores y un pedal
de expresión. La J8 modifica todos los presets y activa y desactiva los efectos de
modulación, cambio de tono, retardo y reverberación. La J8 muestra en pantalla
el número de preset activo, y da acceso al afinador y a los indicadores de
afinación. El pedal de expresión de la J8 controla cualquier parámetro asignable
incluyendo el volumen y el Wah. La J8 debe ser conectada a la toma J8/entrada
MIDI del panel trasero de la J-Station y recibe corriente directamente de la J-
Station a través de esa conexión. Hay un interruptor en el panel trasero de la J-
Station al lado de la toma J8/Entrada MIDI que le permite elegir si la toma
será utilizada con la J8 para proporcionar una alimentación fantasma, o como
entrada MIDI. Para que la J-Station funcione correctamente es necesario que el
pedal de expresión de la J8 haya sido calibrado. Siga los siguientes pasos para
calibrar el pedal:
1.Coloque el interruptor Power en la posición de apagado.
2. Mantenga pulsado el botón Tuner/Utility mientras coloca el interruptor
Power de la J-Station en la posición de encendido. En la pantalla de la J-Station
aparecerán los caracteres
CA (abreviatura de calibración). La pantalla de la J8
mostrará la versión del software y a continuación los caracteres Pb
(abbreviatura de pedal atrás).
3. Coloque el pedal de expresión en la posición de puntera arriba y pulse el
pedal de disparo #1 que estará parpadeando. En la pantalla de la J8 se podrá
leer ahora
PF (abreviatura de pedal adelante).
4. Ponga el pedal de expresión en la posición de puntera abajo y pulse el pedal
de disparo #3 que estará parpadeando.
De este modo se habrá realizado una calibración del pedal. Si durante la
calibración se produjese algún error en pantalla aparecerían los caractres
Er y
Pb y debería repetir el proceso.
Editor/biblioteca
La J-Station es de por si enormemente flexible. Sin embargo, las posibilidades
que conseguirá cuando instale el programa editor/biblioteca en su PC y lo
combine con el potencial de la J-Station serán virtualmente interminables.
Simplemenete conecte la salida MIDI de su ordenador a la entrada MIDI de la
J-Station, y la salida MIDI de la J-Station a la entrada MIDI de su ordenador.
Después introduzca el CD ROM que viene con su J-Station en la unidad de CD
ROMs de su PC con entorno Windows. Si la ventana de la J-Station no aparece
automáticamente en su monitor, elija la opción Run en el menú de inicio, haga
clic en Run, y doble clic en el fichero Setup.exe de su unidad de CD ROMs. El
software editor/biblioteca es muy intuitivo e incluye menús de ayuda que le
permitirán resolver algunas cuestiones y que le servirán como guía para la
programación y el control de la J-Station.
Foot Controller Options
The J-Station can be remotely controlled using the optional J3 Footswitch, J8
Foot Controller, or any MIDI controller. The J3 is a three button Footswitch
which will Bank up, Bank down, and select Presets.The J8 is a full function foot
controller with 6 switches and an expression pedal. The J8 will change Presets,
and turn on and off the Modulation and Pitch Shifting Effects, Delay, and Reverb.
The J8 displays the active Preset number, and provides access to the Tuner as
well as Tuning indicators. The J8’s expression pedal controls any assignable
Parameter including Volume and Wah. The J8 connects to the J8/MIDI In jack
on the rear panel of the J-Station, and is phantom powered from the J-Station.
A switch on the rear panel of the J-Station next to the J8/MIDI In jack is used
to select whether the jack will be used with the J8 and provide the phantom
power, or as a MIDI input. The J-Station requires that the J8’s Expression Pedal
be calibrated in order to function correctly. The following steps outline the
procedure to Calibrate the Pedal:
1.Turn the J-Station’s Power switch to the off position.
2. Press and hold the Tuner/Utility button while turning the J-Station’s Power
switch on.The J-Station’s Display will read CA (abbreviation for Calibrate).The
Display on the J8 will show the software version followed by Pb (abbreviation
for Pedal back).
3. Rock the Expression Pedal back to the toe up position, and press the flashing
#1 footswitch.The J8 Display now reads PF (abbreviation for Pedal forward).
4. Rock the Expression Pedal fully forward to the toe down position and press
the flashing #3 footswitch.
This completes the Pedal Calibration procedure. If an error occurs during the
Calibration, the J8 Display will read
Er followed by Pb and the Calibration
procedure must be repeated.
Editor/Librarian
The flexibility of the J-Station by itself is impressive. However, the possibilities
are virtually endless when you install the power of the Editor/Librarian software
into your PC, and combine that with the J-Station. Simply connect the MIDI out
from your computer to the MIDI In on the J-Station. Connect from the MIDI
Out on the J-Station to your computer’s MIDI In. Then insert the CD ROM
which came with your J-Station, into the CD ROM drive on your Windows PC.
If the J-Station window does not initialize on your monitor automatically, just
select Run from your start menu, click on Run, and double click on the Setup.exe
file in your CD ROM drive. The Editor/Librarian software is intuitive and
includes help menus to answer any questions, as well as guide you through
programming and controlling the J-Station.
