As shown above, MLD snooping is maintaining router ports and member ports in VLAN 10.

Port-based multicast VLAN configuration example (for the
WX6000 series)

Network requirements

As shown in

Figure 25

, Router connects to an IPv6 multicast source (the source) through Ethernet 1/1,

and to AC through Ethernet 1/2. MLDv1 is required on Router. MLDv1 snooping is required on AC.

Router acts as the MLD querier.
AC's Ten-GigabitEthernet 2/0/1 belongs to VLAN 10, WLAN-ESS 1 is created on AC and configured

as a hybrid port with VLAN 10 as the default VLAN. Packets of VLAN 2, VLAN 3, and VLAN 10 are
allowed to pass WLAN-ESS 1.
The IPv6 multicast source sends IPv6 multicast data to IPv6 multicast group FF1E::101. Client A and Client

B belong to VLAN 2 and VLAN 3 respectively and they are receivers of the multicast group.
Configure the port-based IPv6 multicast VLAN feature so that Router just sends IPv6 multicast data to AC
through the IPv6 multicast VLAN and AC forward the IPv6 multicast data to the receivers that belong to

different user VLANs.
