Multifunction Meter
•
If the oscillator is not available, the speedometer can be
checked as follows.
○
Install the meter unit.
○
Turn on the ignition switch.
○
Rotate the waterwheel by hand.
○
Check that the speedometer shows the speed.
If the speedometer does not work, check the speed sen-
sor electric source voltage and speed sensor.
Speed Sensor Electric Source Inspection
•
Connect the 12 V battery and terminals in the same man-
ner as specified in the “Display Function Inspection”.
•
Set the hand tester [A] to the DC 25 V range and connect
it to the terminals [3] and [2].
If the voltage is less than 7 V, replace the meter assembly.
