FUEL SYSTEM (DFI) 3-35

Inlet Air Pressure Sensor (Service Code/Character-12/bOSt)

If the output voltage is far out of the usable range, check
the output voltage at the sensor connector [A].

•

Measure the output voltage at the sensor in the same way
as input voltage inspection. Note the following.

[B] Inlet Air Pressure Sensor

Special Tool - Sensor Harness Adapter: 57001-1561

Inlet Air Pressure Sensor Output Voltage

Connections to Sensor

Meter (+) → G/R lead [C]
Meter (–) → BK/W lead [D]

Output Voltage at Sensor Connector

Usable Range:

3.75

∼

4.25 V DC at the standard

atmospheric pressure (101.32 kPa or
76 cmHg absolute)

If the output voltage is normal, check the wiring for conti-
nuity (see next diagram).
If the output voltage is out of the usable range, replace
the sensor.

•

Turn the ignition switch OFF.

•

Remove the sensor harness adapter.
