Testing ISDN BRI functions

After the call-originating ISDN BRI terminal receives an
acknowledgment that the receiving ISDN BRI terminal is ready, the
call-originating ISDN BRI terminal can begin transmitting packet
data.

Verify that the transmitted data has been received successfully
by checking the transmitted information for accuracy. Read the
information on the screen or print it on the local printer.

Perform this test between two ISDN BRI terminals on the same MPH
for local transmission and between a system ISDN BRI terminal
and a remote ISDN BRI terminal over the Packet Switched Data
Network (PSDN).

Release the connection.

Perform a B-channel Switched Virtual Circuit packet data transmission test
using an MPH

Action

From an ISDN BRI B-channel packet data terminal, dial the Network
Terminal Numbers (NTNs) as configured in LD 27. Establish an
active call connection.

After the call-originating ISDN BRI terminal receives an
acknowledgment that the receiving ISDN BRI terminal is ready, the
call originating ISDN BRI terminal can begin transmitting packet data.

Verify that the transmitted data has been received successfully
by checking the transmitted information for accuracy. Read the
