Note 1: For CS 1000S, physical card slots are numbered 1-4 on each MG 1000S, and 7-10 on
each MG 1000S Expansion.

Note 2: One MISP chassis supports a set of four SILCs or UILCS, or a combination of SILCs
and UILCs.

Procedure 15

Installing the MISP

Remove the cover from the system.

ATTENTION

IMPORTANT!

Wear the static discharge bracelet located inside the system before
handling circuit cards. Failure to wear the bracelet can damage the circuit
cards.

Remove the MISP from its shipping package and hold it by its
card-locking devices.

Insert the MISP into the selected card slot and lock it in place.

Observe the behavior of the LED on the faceplate of the MISP to
determine its status:

The LED lights, flashes three times and then stays lit – the MISP
is operating correctly but is not configured and enabled.
