Typographical Convention

The following typographical conventions are used throughout the manuals:

Conventions commonly used throughout manuals

Character string to be entered
The characters to be entered are shown in one-byte characters as follows:
Example:

FIC100.SV=50.0

“” mark
Indicates a space between character strings to be entered.
Example:

AL  PIC010  -SC

Character string enclosed in curly brackets ({ })
Indicates an optional characters that can be omitted.
Example:

PR  TAG {. Sheet name}

Conventions used to show key or button operations:

Characters enclosed in square brackets ([ ])
Characters enclosed in square brackets show the names of buttons used during the explanation

of the software operation.
Example:

To execute the command, click [OK].

Characters enclosed in angle brackets (< >)
Characters enclosed in angle brackets show the title of the screen during the explanation of the

software operation.
Characters enclosed in corner brackets ([ ])
Characters enclosed in corner brackets show a tab or an item of the screen during the explana-

tion of the software operation.

Drawing Conventions

Some drawings may be partially emphasized, simplified, or omitted, for the convenience of de-

scription.
Some screen images depicted in the manual may have different display positions or character

types (e.g., the upper/lower case). Also note that some of the images contained in this manual

are display examples.
