2 options are only available if the keypad (SPED) is a VEPP
(VISA® compliant Encrypting PIN Pad).
For the VEPP, dual control passwords are required when entering Key Management. A prompt will be dis-
played requiring dual password inputs whenever the Key Management menu item is selected.
When this dialog is displayed, menu item 1 is automatically selected. When the password for User 1 is entered
successfully, Menu item 2 will automatically be selected. If the password for User 2 is entered successfully,
the Key Management menu is displayed.
When initially installed, The VEPP contains the default password ‘000000’ (six zero’s). This password MUST
be changed by the users after it is entered the first time.
