array changes the secondary data volume's status (if the path status is normal) and changes the
primary data volume's status accordingly. You can display detailed pair status information using
XP Command View Advanced Edition Software or XP Remote Web Console (XP Continuous Access
Journal Pairdisplay pane) or a UNIX/PC host (XP RAID Manager Pairdisplay command).
A volume that is not assigned to an XP Continuous Access Journal data volume pair has the status
SMPL. When an XP Continuous Access Journal data volume pair is started, the primary array
changes the status of the primary and secondary data volumes to COPY. When the initial copy
operation is complete, the primary array changes the status of both data volumes to PAIR. When
a pair is suspended due to an error condition, the primary array changes the status of the primary
and secondary data volumes to PSUE (if the path status is normal). When splitting an XP Continuous
Access Journal pair (pairsplit-r), the primary or secondary array changes the status of the primary
and secondary data volumes to PSUS (if the path status is normal). When a pair is split from the
secondary array, the secondary array changes the secondary data volume's status to PSUS, and
the primary array detects the pair suspension (if path status is normal) and changes the primary
data volume's status to PSUS. When a pair is deleted from the primary array, the primary array
changes the status of both data volumes to SMPL. When a pair is deleted from the secondary
