Do one of the following:

In the tree, select a master journal group (

) or restore journal group (

) from below

In the tree, select Journal Groups or Registered, and select a master journal group (

)

from the list to the right.

A list of mirrors displays. One row in the list represents one mirror.

Locate mirrors that are in Stop, Hold, or Hold(Failure) status.

From the mirrors, select and right-click the mirrors you want to restore. The result of this
operation differs according to the status of the selected mirror.

When selecting a mirror in Stop status, data copying is restarted after the recovery.

When selecting a mirror in Hold status, a delta resync operation is performed after the
recovery.

When selecting a mirror in Hold(Failure) status, the status changes to Hold after the
recovery.

6.

Select JNL Groups and Pairresync.

7.

In the Preset list, check the mirrors you want to restore.

To cancel restoring a mirror, right-click the mirror, and select Cancel.

If necessary, repeat step 3 through step 7 to specify other mirrors.

8.

Click Apply to restore the mirrors.

NOTE:

If an error occurs, the right-most column of the Preset list displays the error code. To

view detailed information about the error, right-click the error code, and select Error Detail.
An error message appears providing detailed information about the error.

NOTE:

The Range column indicates the unit used for restoring the mirror, and always displays

Group.

Deleting data volumes from mirrors (Pairsplit-S: ending copy operations)

A mirror is a combination of a master journal group and a restore journal group. If you delete
data volumes from a mirror, data copying from the master journal group to the restore journal
group ends.

When one journal group uses two mirror IDs, the result of the operation differs as follows according
to the status of the specified mirror.

To delete volumes from a mirror, the primary and secondary array administrators can perform the
following procedure:

Ensure that XP Command View Advanced Edition Software or XP Remote Web Console is in
Modify mode. For more information, see the HP StorageWorks XP Command View user guide
for XP Disk Arrays
or the HP StorageWorks XP Remote Web Console user guide for
XP12000/XP10000/SVS200
.

Display the Journal Operation pane (see

).

3.

Do one of the following:

In the tree, select a master journal group (

) or restore journal group ( ) from below

In the tree, select Journal Groups or Registered, and select a master journal group (

or restore journal group ( ) from the list to the right.

4.

Locate mirrors that are not in Initial status.
