From the remote host, establish inter-disk controller logical paths (Remote

→ Intermediate, and

Remote

→ Primary).

From the remote host, register a command device for the storage systems at the remote site,
intermediate site, and primary site.

Creating copy groups

All copy groups must be created on the primary host.
1.

Define a Continuous Access Journal Z copy group between the primary site and the intermediate
site.

2.

Define a Continuous Access Journal Z copy group between the intermediate site and the
remote site.

For C/T ID (JNLG) in the Setting C/T ID Attributes panel, specify the value that was specified
for Sub C/T ID (JNLG) for the Continuous Access Journal Z copy group between the primary
site and the intermediate site.

For MIRROR ID in the Copy Group Attributes (CAJ) panel, specify a value that is different from
the MIRROR ID values for other Continuous Access Journal Z copy pairs between the primary
site and the intermediate site.

Define a Continuous Access Journal Z copy group between the primary site and the remote
site.

For C/T ID (JNLG) in the Setting C/T ID Attributes panel, specify the value that was specified
for C/T ID (JNLG) for the Continuous Access Journal Z copy group between the primary site
and the intermediate site. For Sub C/T ID (JNLG), specify the value that was specified for Sub
C/T ID (JNLG) for the Continuous Access Journal Z copy group between the intermediate site
and the remote site.

For MIRROR ID in the Copy Group Attributes (CAJ) panel, specify a value that is different from
the MIRROR ID values for other Continuous Access Journal Z copy pairs between the primary
site and the intermediate site and between the intermediate site and the remote site.
