Execute the YKMAKE command with SELECT(COND) specified.

The journal group is registered in the EXCTG of the storage system.

Adding a new journal group to a 4x4 configuration

To add a new journal group to a 4x4 configuration, perform the procedure below. The following
figure is a representation of the addition.

Setting up the Storage System

Set up the following items by using Remote Web Console.
1.

Configure an arbitration command device on the subordinate disk controller (S3).

2.

Set up an arbitration path from the supervisor disk controller (S1) to the subordinate disk
controller (S3).

3.

Map the arbitration command device on the subordinate disk controller (S3) to the supervisor
disk controller (S1) (setup of the remote command device).

4.

Register the journal group (timer type: SYSTEM) in the storage system (P3) and the storage
system (S3).

Setting up a Business Continuity Manager Environment

Create a disk configuration definition file for each of the storage systems (P3 and S3).

Establish a logical path between the storage systems (P3 and S3).

Add a route between the storage systems (P3 and S3).

Register a command device for each of the storage systems (P3 and S3).

Create a copy group from the primary site.
