Deleting Data Volumes from a Mirror (Pairsplit-S: Ending a Copy Operation)

A mirror is a combination of a master journal group and a restore journal group. If you delete
data volumes from a mirror, the copying of data from the master journal group to the restore journal
group ends.
When one journal group uses two mirror IDs, the result of the operation differs according to the
status of the specified mirror:

When you specify a mirror in Hold, Holding, or Hold(Failure) status, only the XP Continuous
Access Journal pair of the specified mirror is deleted.

When you specify a mirror that is not in Hold, Holding, or Hold(Failure) status, the XP
Continuous Access Journal pairs of both mirrors (including the mirror that you do not specify)
will be deleted.

To delete data volumes from a mirror, follow the procedure described in this section. The primary
storage system administrator and the secondary storage system administrator can perform this
operation.
