For shared XP Continuous Access Journal/XP Business Copy volumes, the XP Continuous Access
Journal pair status is reported to the host if you query the XP Continuous Access Journal primary
data volume or secondary data volume. To obtain the XP Business Copy pair status, query
the P-VOL of the XP Business Copy pair.
•
XP Business Copy supports multiple S-VOLs for each P-VOL. If you issue a pair status query
for an XP Business Copy P-VOL (for example, pairdisplay), the status for only one XP Business
Copy pair is reported (the pair with the S-VOL with the lowest LDEV ID). To obtain the pair
status for XP Business Copy pair(s) with the other S-VOL(s), you must direct the host query to
the specific S-VOL using the S-VOLs LDEV ID in the host command. The XP Business Copy
remote console software shows the port, GID, LUN, LDEV ID, and XP Business Copy pair status
for all S-VOLs associated with a P-VOL.
