Releasing a Pair of Data Volumes (Pairsplit-S)

The Pairsplit-S window allows you to release a pair of data volumes.
When one journal group uses two mirror IDs, the result of the operation differs according to the
status of the mirror of the specified XP Continuous Access Journal pair.

When you specify a mirror of the XP Continuous Access Journal pair in HOLD, HOLDING, or
HLDE status, only the XP Continuous Access Journal pair of the specified mirror is deleted.

When you specify a mirror of the XP Continuous Access Journal pair that is not in HOLD,
HOLDING, or HLDE status, the XP Continuous Access Journal pairs of both mirrors (including
the mirror that you do not specify) are deleted.

To release one or more pairs, follow the procedure described in this section. The primary storage
system administrator and the secondary storage system administrator can perform this operation.
