02 Preparations for Using APRS

Configuration

Follow the explanations below to configure each item listed in the previous section.

Built-in Clock

The year, month, day, and time are automatically set to the built‑in clock from the GPS information. If the GPS

information cannot be received, you can manually enter the date and time as follows.
Select Menu 524 (AUX ‑ DATE) from the TM‑D710A/E or Menu 925 (AUX ‑ DATE) from the TM‑D710GA/GE and

configure the date.

• K‑type (U.S.A. and Canada): Set month, date, year in this order.

• E‑type (Europe): Set date, month, year in this order.

Note:

◆ If using RC‑D710, then set month, date, year regardless in which region you are located.

Example:
Configure the date November 23, 2013 (K-type). Refer to Fig. 2‑1 Menu 524 (AUX ‑ DATE).

Select Menu 525 (AUX ‑ TIME) from the TM‑D710A/E or Menu 926 (AUX ‑ TIME) from the TM‑D710GA/GE and

configure the current time.
Example:
Configure the time 12:00. Refer to Fig. 2‑2 Menu 525 (AUX ‑ TIME).

Select Menu 526 (AUX ‑ TIME ZONE) from the TM‑D710A/E or Menu 927 (AUX ‑ TIME ZONE) from the TM‑D710GA/

GE and configure your time zone.
