MCP-2A/6A Memory Control Program 08

Note:

◆ MCP‑2A is unable to read memory channels that cannot be received by using TM‑V71A/E and TM‑D710A/E.

◆ With MCP‑2A, it is not possible to exchange data between above‑mentioned transceivers except TM‑V71A/E or

TM‑D710A/E.

◆ MCP‑2A cannot read DTMF memory and menu settings, etc. from the above‑mentioned transceivers except TM‑V71A/E or

TM‑D710A/E.

◆ For TM‑V71A/E, due to its display with six columns of 13 digits, there are times when some characters used in a memory

name cannot be read depending on how the data was originally produced. For TM‑D710A/E, due to its dot matrix display

with eight columns, a memory name will appear the same as the original.

◆ Although you may be able to import an MCP file that is not explained in the above tables, some data in the file may not be

read into the MCP‑2A program.

Importing the .hmk File Created by Another MCP-2A

To exchange a file with MCP-2A where the market code does not agree, file exchange is possible via the .hmk file type.

It is possible to import this file with MCP-2A. To output MCP-2A channel data as a file that can be exchanged with

another MCP-2A, export .hmk files by selecting “Export” > “HMK File” from the File pulldown menu.
On the other hand, to import a .hmk file, import it by selecting “Import” > “HMK File” from the File pulldown menu.

Note:

◆ By starting the MCP‑2A software multiple times, it is possible to copy and paste memory channel data between MCP‑2A

open windows.
