Main Functions of MCP-6A

MCP-6A has many functions. This section lists the most commonly used functions of MCP-6A including importing files.

Useful Functions of MCP-6A

• Simple operation.

• Graphical display of SmartBeaconing.

• Importing other MCP files.

• Setting your Callsign.

• Exporting the “.html” Files.

• Reading GPS log data.

Functions Configurable only by MCP-6A

• Changing the power‑on bitmap image.

• Selecting monitor method for EchoLink Sysop mode.

• Switching SQC active conditions.

• For packet transmission or EchoLink Sysop mode, changing the input sensitivity for the data terminal and configuring the output level

• Selecting 10 MHz steps for the VFO.

• Configuring the character string for the power on password.

• Changing the speed at which the switchover is made between Decay Algorithm and Proportional Pathing.

Reading a file

This section describes how to read a file.

Reading a File Created with MCP-6A

To read a file, select “Open” from the File pulldown menu, select “TM‑D710G MCP‑6A File (*.mc6)” in the “Files of type”

dropdown list, and open the desired file created in TM-D710GA/GE.

Importing Other MCP Files into MCP-6A

With MCP-6A, it is possible to read a file that was created using other MCP series software.
To read a file created by other MCP software, select “Open” from the File pulldown menu, select the correct file type in

the Files of type dropdown list, and open the desired file.
In the Open window, select the correct file type in the Files of type dropdown list, and open the desired file.
