5 Gently pressing the heat sink of the expansion CPU socket

against the socket, move the heat sink lock levers on the
left and right in the direction of the arrows, and hook onto
the claws to lock the heat sink in place.
After you have finished operating the heat sink lock lever
on the left, operate the heat sink lock lever on the right.

Attaching and fixing the heat sink

NOTE: Do not push the fin section of heat sink of the CPU
module. This may cause the deformation of the heat sink.

Used heat sinks cannot be reattached. To replace a heat sink,
contact your Toshiba service station or sales representative
(Services will be provided for a fee.).

Attaching a 3.06 GHz CPU Module

For the following cases, the retention clamps (the parts attached to
the heat sink) needs to be replaced.

When the CPU module is initially added while in default status

™

When a 2B GHz/2.40 GHz CPU module is removed and
changed to a 3.06 GHz CPU module
