4 Select “File” - “Save”.

5 Select “File” - “Exit” to quit the Notepad.

6 Restart Windows 2000.

Installing the TOSHIBA Display Power Save
Driver

The TOSHIBA Display Power Save Driver is a device driver for
Windows 2000 that controls the power-saving function of the
monitor. Follow the steps below to install this driver.

1 Start Windows 2000, and log onto Windows 2000 as the

Administrator (or a user having equivalent rights).

2 Set the Server Setup TooL CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive.

3 Change the current directory to the following directory and

execute SETUP.EXE.
<CD-ROM>\PUBLIC\UTILS\TOSHIBA\DPS

4 Check the “Yes, I want to restart my computer now.” option

and select “Finish”.
(Windows 2000 restarts.)

Setting up the SAF-TE Controller

Make the following setting only when the hard disk drive is
connected to the onboard SCSI controller.

1 Start Windows 2000, and log onto Windows 2000 as the

Administrator (or a user having equivalent rights).

2 Select “Start” - “Settings” - “Control Panel” - “System” -

“Hardware” - “Device Manager”.

3 Click “SDR GEM318 SCSI Processor Device” at “Other

devices” with the right mouse button, and select “Uninstall”.

4 When the “Confirm Device Removal” message is displayed,

select “OK”.

5 Select “Action” - “Scan for hardware changes”.
