8 Insert the “Intel 1Gbps LAN Windows Server 2000 Driver”

floppy disk in the floppy disk drive, select “Have disk”. Spec-
ify A:\ as the directory then select “OK”.

9 Select “Intel(R) 82545EM Based Network Connection”, select

“Next”.
(After this, follow the instructions that appear on screen.)

10 Select “Ethernet Controller” that is displayed in the screen in

step 3 above and right click on it. Select “Properties” in the
menu that is displayed and Ether2 adapter's properties are dis-
played.

11 Do the settings for Ether2 Controller the same way as

described in steps 4 to 9 above. Select “Intel 100Mbps LAN
Windows Server 2000 Driver” for the network adapter.

12 Restart the system.

Other settings

1 Start Windows 2000, and log onto Windows 2000 as the

Administrator (or a user having equivalent rights).

2 If no network has been set up, set up the network.

3 If no TCP/IP has been set for the network, set it. Installing

SNMP service is performed in the “Control Panel” - “Add/
Remove Programs” - “Add/Remove Windows Components” -
“Management and Monitoring Tools”.

4 Install the SNMP Service in the network.

For installing the SNMP Service, use “Services,” which can be
opened by selecting “Control Panel,” “Add/Remove Pro-
grams”, “Add/Remove Windows Components”, “Manage-
ment and Monitoring Tools”of the Windows 2000 Server in
this order.
