1 Connect the fan cable of the new heat sink to the fan connector

(CPU FAN1 for CPU1 and CPU FAN2 for CPU2).

2 Raise the CPU lock levers of the CPU socket.

Raising the CPU lock lever

CAUTION: Before you install a CPU into a CPU socket, make
sure that the lever of the CPU socket is full opened (about
135 degrees).
If you insert the CPU without opening the lever of the CPU
socket completely, it will not only cause the recognition failure
of the CPU, but also damage the CPU of CPU socket, or
generate short circuit inside the CPU socket, which may
require the repair.
