ƒ

Before working on the power supply module, check that no voltage is

applied to the power terminals, because

the power terminals +UG, -UG, BR0 and BR1 remain live for at least 3

minutes after mains disconnection.

because the power terminals +UG, -UG, BR0 and BR1 remain live when

the motor is stopped.

ƒ

The operating temperature of the heatsink is > 70 °C:

Direct skin contact with the heatsink results in burns.

ƒ

The leakage current to PE is > 3.5 mA AC or > 10 mA DC.

According to EN 61800-5-1, a fixed installation is required.

The PE connection has to conform to EN 61800-5-1.

Comply with further requirements of EN 61800-5-1 for high leakage

currents!

ƒ

Operation of the power supply module with an earth-leakage circuit

breaker:

The power supply modules are provided with an internal mains

rectifier. In the event of a short-circuit to frame, a non-pulsating DC

fault current can prevent the tripping of AC-sensitive or

pulse-current-sensitive earth-leakage circuit breakers and thus block

the protective function for all electrical equipment operated on these

earth-leakage circuit breakers.

If a residual current device (RCD) is used as a protective means in the

case of direct or indirect contact, only a residual current device (RCD) of

type B may be used. Otherwise, another protective measure, such as

separation from the environment through double or reinforced

insulation or disconnection from the mains by means of a transformer

must be used.
