Removing the Removable
Terminal Block If you need to remove the module from the chassis, you must first
remove the RTB from the module.
1. Unlock the locking tab at the top of the module.
2. Open the RTB door using the bottom tab.
3. Hold the spot marked PULL HERE and pull the RTB off the
module.
ATTENTION
Shock hazard exists. If the RTB is removed from
the module while the field-side power is applied,
the module will be electrically live. Do not touch
the RTB’s terminals. Failure to observe this caution
may cause personal injury.
The RTB is designed to support Removal and
Insertion Under Power (RIUP). However, when
you remove or insert an RTB with field-side power
applied, unintended machine motion or loss of
process control can occur. Exercise extreme
caution when using this feature. It is recommended
that field-side power be removed before removing
the module.
IMPORTANT
Do not wrap your fingers around the entire door.
A shock hazard exists.
