3.5.2

Replacing a Fan Assembly

Caution:

Your server does not have hot-swappable fans. Before replacing any of the fans, you

must first take the server out of service, turn off all peripheral devices connected to the

system, turn off the system by pressing the power button, and unplug the AC power

cord from the system or wall outlet.

The replacement/spare fan set consists of one PCI fan and four dual-rotor CPU fans

plus enough resilient fan bumpers for all five fans. The bumpers are used to isolate fan

vibration from the rest of the system.
