7. Connect the fan cables to the correct fan connectors on the SFP board.

The fan connectors are labeled on the SFP board.

3.5.2.2

Replacing the PCI Fan

1. Disconnect the PCI fan power cable from the SAS front panel (SFP) board by

squeezing the latch on the fan cable connector. See

Figure 9

for the location of this

connector.

2. Remove the fan from the fan bracket.
3. Insert one of the blue fan bumpers into each of the four mounting holes on the PCI

fan.

The locking shoulder will catch on the flange to fasten the bumper to the fan. (“B”

in

Figure 43

4. Align the fan with the arrow on top facing the rear of the chassis.
5. Push the PCI fan into the fan bracket.
