Configuring Recorders

The PowerSmart+ Advanced PQM is provided with a 1-Megabyte onboard non-
volatile memory for data, event and waveform recording.

Before using recorders, the device memory should be partitioned between log files. The
device memory is fully configurable. You can define how much memory to allocate for each
log file. If you want to change the factory settings, follow the guidelines in the section
below.

The device memory can be partitioned for a total of 20 log files:

Event log

16 Data logs

2 Waveform logs

EN50160 Power Quality log

Two of the data log files – Data log #9 and #10 – are automatically configured in your meter
for recording EN51060 compliance statistics data and harmonics survey data. You cannot
change the file records structure, but you can change the amount of memory that will be
allocated for recording data.

To view the present device memory settings, select Memory/Log from the Meter
Setup menu, and then click on the Log Memory tab.

The following table lists available file options.

TOU Daily
Profile

Defines the file behavior when it is filled up.

Wrap-around: recording continues over the oldest records.

Non-wrap: recording is stopped until the file is cleared.

TOU Daily profile: TOU daily profile data log (only for Data log
#16).

Size

The memory size allocated to the file. Set automatically depending
on the size of the records and the number of records in the file.

Sections/Channels 0-14

The numbers of sections in a multi-section TOU profile data log
file, or the number of recording channels in a waveform log file
