Links per Multiple Remote-Copy Pairs

If your remote-copy configuration involves more than one remote-copy pair (N-to-1, 1-to-N, M-to-N,
or SLD), you must create sending links on each system for all the remote-copy pairs in the
configuration.

For RCFC, the maximum number of sending links per node is four. For RCIP, the maximum number
of sending links per node is one.

For more information, see

“Setting Up the Remote Copy Servers” (page 39)

.

Receiving Links

HP 3PAR Remote Copy uses receiving links to:

Determine link and target status

Listen for remote-copy data and commands from the target system in the remote-copy pair

Read the incoming data and commands

Send the data and commands to the appropriate remote-copy process
