Issue the showrcopy command on the asynchronous periodic backup system (SystemC)
and verify that it is in the role of backup system.

The following example shows the showrcopy command output for SystemC:

# showrcopy

Failing Over to the Asynchronous Periodic Backup System (with Data
Transfer)

If the primary system fails or is taken offline, you can fail the storage system over to the asynchronous
periodic backup system (see

Figure 67 (page 220)

) if the backup system:

is still functioning properly

is not affected by the situation that took the primary system offline (in other words, is not in
danger of failing as well)

If the synchronous backup system is still functioning, you can make one last data transfer from the
synchronous backup system to the asynchronous periodic backup system before you complete the
failover.

When the synchronous backup system finishes transferring data, the asynchronous periodic backup
system becomes the failover system and assumes the role of the primary system.
