How Remote Copy Tracks Synchronization Details

When a volume synchronization or resynchronization takes place on a system running under HP
3PAR Remote Copy, the system creates tasks to track the initial synchronization or resynchronization
operations.

For example, when you use the startrcopygroup command on a remote-copy volume group
for the first time, the system creates a task for each primary volume group that is started and
synchronized in order to track the initial synchronization of the primary and secondary volume
groups.

Tracking Synchronous Volume Groups

For synchronous mode volume groups, the startrcopygroup command prompts resynchronization
each time it is used.
