where <pattern> represents the pattern of volume group names (for example, Group*).

3.

To start the primary volume group, issue either of the following commands:

# startrcopygroup <group_name>

or:

# startrcopygroup -pat <pattern>

where <pattern> represents the pattern of volume group names to start (for example,
Group*

).

4.

If the volume group’s new mode is asynchronous periodic, set a synchronization period by
issuing either of the following commands:

# setrcopygroup period <value>{s|m|h|d} <target_name> <group_name>

where:

<value>

—Resynchronization period (time span between start of resynchronizations)

and time unit (seconds, minutes, hours, or days)

<target_name>

—Name of the backup system for the volume group you are changing

<group_name>

—Name of the primary volume group

or:

# setrcopygroup period <value>{s|m|h|d} <target_name> -pat <pattern>

where <pattern> represents the pattern of volume group names (for example, Group*).

CAUTION:

You must specify a synchronization period. HP 3PAR Remote Copy does not

have a default synchronization period, so if you do not set a synchronization period,
remote-copy volume groups will not be automatically resynchronized.

To resynchronize primary and secondary volume groups manually, consider the mode being used.
