To configure the ports, use the controlport rcfc command.

CAUTION:

Each pair of RCFC links must exist in an exclusive zone. Fabric zones cannot be

shared.

Setting Up Dedicated Node Pairs for RCFC

Verify that each FC interface on each node on the primary remote-copy system connects to a
dedicated FC interface on each node on the backup remote-copy system.

RCFC requires a dedicated node pair for each backup system, as shown in

Figure 14 (page 36)

.

Figure 14 RCFC Dedicated Node Pairs

In

Figure 14 (page 36)

:

FC interfaces on nodes 0 and 1 on the primary system connect to FC interfaces on backup
System1 nodes 0 and 1, respectively.

FC interfaces on nodes 2 and 3 on the primary system connect to FC interfaces on backup
System2 nodes 0 and 1, respectively.

Setting Up Remote-Copy Interface for RCFC

Use the setup information you gathered in the

“RCFC Remote-Copy Pair Worksheet” (page 34)

:

1.
